Niku layers grainy electronic sounds with the occasional mayhem of a mathy post-punk band. He is heavily influenced by his time growing up in eastern Washington, where rolling hills, sparse desert landscapes and the lush Columbia River are contrasted by an ever-present awareness of the nearby Hanford Nuclear Reservation. Niku creates a diverse sonic landscape with an underlying sense of un-ease.
